Frank Pitts AKA "The Riddler" played a key role in Super Bowl IV wearing a Gladiator suspension and Riddell one bar facemask. After being traded to the Browns he wore a Riddell "TK" suspension and Riddell one bar facemask which is the helmet pictured above. He wore a partial Riddell suspension (model "TAK-29") and same style facemask when he was subsequently traded to the Raiders. Frank said he was just happy to wear whatever type of helmet the equipment manager gave him although he requested a Riddell two bar facemask for better protection as he ended his career with the Falcons.
