Finally! Coming from Cleveland in 1962 Mitchell was the first player with brown skin to play for an all white skin team, the Red skins.  OK.... This RK2 feather helmet is without his famous number 49.  Out of the 5 years that the feather helmet was used, numbers were placed low near the stem of the feather for only 2 of those years.  The Riddell RK helmet was Washington's  model of choice during feather period.  Anyone out there have photos of a Riddell TK feather helmet?  Other than on our site? :-)
