For his 1958 senior season at Clovis High School in Fresno, California Daryle wore this vintage 1940s Riddell suspension helmet. Helmets were recycled for as many years as physically possible back in those pre NOCSE days. The helmet features a six point suspension, leather crown piece and riveted on leather jaw pad tips. The clear shell is made of a very soft plastic material and the paint applied from the inside of the shell which was normal procedure for this type of helmet. Daryle wore the original Riddell "stubby" one bar facemask, which was invented in 1955, with this helmet.
