After the car accident in the early 60's which broke both of Billy's legs, doctors said he would never walk again let alone adorn another teams cap.  Here is proof that doctors are human and make mistakes. Not only did he play for the Saints and Redskins after the 49ers, Kilmer helped lead the Redskins to Super Bowl VII.  An interesting side note, Charlton Heston wore Kilmer's game helmet in the movie "Number One".   This helmet turns out to be a two for one special.
