As a player, coach and
athletic director, Doug Dickey set a standard for those around him. The
standard? Settling for nothing less than your best.  UT
President John Shoemaker,
during halftime of their last game of the 2002 season, honored Dickey for his
years of service.  Dickey was presented with a late 1960's reproduction
suspension helmet from Helmet Hut.  We are proud and honored to be a small
part of his well deserved ceremony.   As much as we are proud of our
efforts and workmanship that went into his helmet, we certainly hope he got a
nice gold watch too.  The now famous "T'
on Tennessee helmet was introduced in 1964 when Doug Dickey took over as head
coach.
