This is Gail's Falcon helmet from the 1970 season which was the last helmet he wore before his retirement from pro football. In 1970 the Falcons removed the two gold stripes (worn in honor of Georgia Tech) from their helmet design. The unusually wide dymo tape sticker on the back of this helmet, which displays Gail's "15" number, is a unique feature on early era Falcon helmets.
