Luke Owens 1960 St. Louis Cardinals

This 1960 St. Louis Cardinal helmet was obtained directly from Luke Owens. The helmet highlights include the original full bolt on cage facemask and training camp numerals made from athletic tape. Rather than using vinyl decals the cardinal head logos are actually painted on using a stencil process. The team switched to the more conventional vinyl decals shortly thereafter.
