This type only works on suspension helmets.  They were made to just snap in place.

We have just acquired a few pair of non used, non worn original late 1960's early 70's Riddell Football cleats. As you can see, they are in the original box with the original pamphlet. Perfect condition, leather is real kangaroo. These are the Snug Tie model. 99.9% of all NFL players wore these cleats. To acquire a few non used Riddell cleats in the original boxes and with original shoelaces is a real find.
