Memphis Southman

Southmen -  Jacquot
(Game Worn)

As a high school athlete and the Most Valuable Player in the Ohio High School North-South All Star Game, John Jacquot found a school that would let him pursue success at more than one varsity sport. At 6'2" and 235 pounds, offensive guard Jacquot finished his football career at Bowling Green University as an All Mid America Conference linemen and Bowling Green's Most Valuable Player. Jacquot's blocking allowed Falcon halfback Paul Miles to rank as the nation's tenth leading ball carrier with 1185 yards in 1971 and 1024 in '72. Jacquot finished his athletic career at Bowling Green by going 4-1 and making it to the quarter-final round of the 1974 NCAA Wrestling Championships. In 1974 he played on the offensive line of the Memphis Southmen, usually backing up Ron Mikolajczyk, Justin Canale, and Charley Bray. He began the '75 season with the Southmen and finished with the Philadelphia Bell. Above is his game Riddell Pac3 helmet with NOP mask.
