Only 10 years in the league and a 7 time pro bowler.  Charlie was as good with averages as he was with raking in the ball and running up field.  Charlie's head gear in 1969 was the "TK2" Riddell helmet with the Aero Cell protective padding.  He also wore a Schutt butterfly OPO for a face guard.   Even though the NFL 50 year Pro bowl decals have long fell off this helmet, you can easily see where they were and the outline of the old Lions decal under the gold paint.  There is only one thing more disturbing than the way the Lions painted their helmets, and that is the Hall of Fame has no bust of Mr. Sanders likeness.
