Every once in a while you come across a helmet that some how survived and "made it".   Made it with out being dismantled, made it with out being worn in the back yard, and made it with out being reconditioned.  This 1971 TK2 12 point suspension helmet was worn by a Tar Heel during the early 1970s.  It is exactly in the same shape as the last day it was removed from the players head, it was never factory reconditioned and never upgraded to the wildcat sweatband.  But the most interesting, unique and rare option was inside, the special ordered Riddell concussion padding. We are fortunate it "made it" to us.
