"Nobody would ever remember a player named David Jones,"  says David, thus dubbing himself Deacon.  Most likely no other defensive lineman had more titles and came up with more football slang than Deacon Jones. From the Fearsome Foursome, Secretary of Defense, to coining  the term Sack, he was a one man dictionary.  Deacon wore this classic RK2 model helmet until his later years with the Rams. Notice the common identification dymo tape used by the Rams, always placed inside over the left ear hole.   Oh yes, lest we forget... they gave him one last title in 1980, David Deacon Jones... Hall of Famer.
