This is a
beautiful game worn helmet from the 1970 season. The Macgregormodel "MH 100" made of clear plastic with the decals, striping and paintunconventionally applied to the inside of the shell was the choice ofmost major college teams during that era including Michigan, Ohio State,Texas and Oklahoma. This is one of only a few helmets from that seasonthat still exist. Most of the helmets from the 1968season were
recycled for the 1969 season by crudely repainting theoutside
surface of the shell so that the commemorative 100th year of
college football decal could be displayed. Thanks Gene!
